about

My name is Sean Da Ros; I am a photojournalist.
I like to document my life through photos.
Personally, I photograph my family, my friends, places I visit, and people I meet.
Professionally, I photograph for my school's athletics and individual clients.

I don't shoot for individual photos, rather complete galleries/projects.
I understand that a photo should tell a story, and I try my best to follow this rule.
But, one photo on its own can't tell a full story.
Instead, my photos focus on details and moments and when compiled into a gallery, then, show the full and complete.

All photos on this site are available under the Creative Commons CC0 license.
I want all my photos, no matter how immature I may find them in the future, to be freely accessible and usable for anyone.

Photos on this site are categorized in three ways: galleries, projects, and film dumps.
Galleries are a collection of photos from the same shoot*, taken on the same day**.
Projects are a collection of galleries that in some way relate to each other.
Film dumps are a collection of photos taken on film. The entire roll is published, none are culled.

Galleries are named with the date in ISO 8601 format followed by the name of the gallery.
Photos are named with the date taken in ISO 8601 format followed by the name of the gallery, the format (ex. raw, jpeg, tiff, etc...), the version***, and the file number.
Underscores replace spaces in all file and gallery names. (ex. 20190815 via ariete 20 jpeg2 01.jpg 20190815_via_ariete_20_jpeg2_01.jpg)
